HEMOLIFE is our division of Hemopet dedicated to providing the highest quality laboratory diagnostic work and expert interpretation of data. This service is available to veterinarians worldwide and to individual animal owners through their veterinarian. HEMOLIFE is unique in routinely offering expert clinical interpretive diagnostic comments that take into account the age, sex, and breed type and activity of the animal, this often yields an expected normal reference range for an individual pet that differs from the test lab's generic broad reference range. HEMOLIFE has participated in the Endocrinology Proficiency Testing from the Veterinary Laboratory Association since 2008.
HEMOLIFE, provides the most comprehensive diagnostic profiles for detecting and interpreting autoimmune thyroiditis and hypothyroidism, with our specialized reference ranges. We use novel, 'green' non-RIA technology never offered before in veterinary medicine (patent pending). The Thyroid Antibody Panel (Thyroid 5™) is comprised of T4, Free T4, T3, Free T3 and TGAA. No other diagnostic laboratory offers this technology or provides clients with the detail, personal assessment, and recommendations offered by Dr. Dodds and her staff. WHY ARE SOME PRICES SLIGHTLY HIGHER THAN THE MAJOR LABORATORIES ? All samples and results are treated on a "personal level" basis- your sample is NOT just an accession number to us! Each report is manually prepared by the Hemolife staff, and is personally reviewed and interpreted by Dr. Jean Dodds. If further consultations are required, the pet owners or veterinarians can discuss the case with Dr. Dodds at no additional charge.
